A few weeks ago, our Design Engineer Flemming, accompanied by CEO Benny Thomsen and CTO Anders B. Jensen, visited Odense Havn to gather firsthand insights on a substation that was constructed there.

Spica Technology has taken on the task of designing a fiber layout for three substations, similar to the one observed during the visit. Flemming is the designer responsible for creating the layout.

The visit provided Flemming with a refreshing change from his usual work with A3-drawings for the project. It allowed him to gain a comprehensive understanding of how the project would operate in real-life and provided him with fresh new insights.

In general, Flemming’s work involves calculations, descriptions, creating diagrams, parts lists, and designing 3D models for his projects. The diverse nature of his work allows him to learn about various subject areas, with fiber layout being one of them.

The process is currently underway, and there is excitement to see the outcome of Flemming’s work.
