Spica Smart Park is an online SCADA wind turbine monitoring system aimed at optimising wind turbine maintenance and hereby increase performance and reduce breakdowns and production losses.
The Spica Smart Park SCADA system has been designed from a service technician's point of view. With real-time access to the wind turbine display, technicians can access the same information online as if they were physically present on-site. They can also change parameters or stop and start the wind turbine from their online unit. Spica Smart Park also allows online access to the turbine's ordinary data collection system for extraction in Excel.
The idea behind Spica Smart Park is that the service technicians are warned before the faults occur while still back at the office. This is partly to enable them to safely prepare for the individual repair – and partly to allow several preventive repairs, replacements and maintenance tasks to be combined in a single service visit.
Too often, service technicians fly, sail or drive to a remote wind turbine farm to carry out a single repair – and find themselves short of tools and spare parts if, during the visit, they note other tasks, e.g. contact with water or replacement of brake blocks.
With Spica Smart Park, you receive a warning in good time, helping you to plan servicing and maintenance. This means that you are always prepared and can prevent repairs and breakdowns, while saving on the number of call-outs by carrying out several tasks simultaneously.
Spica Smart Park works via a safe cloud-based web browser and is accessible on all online platforms, from mobile phone to pc.
